What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is the process of applying a vinyl film to your vehicle. This process changes the look of your vehicle without need for a complicated and expensive paint job. Vinyl wrapping offers many options from gloss to matte to even textured wraps.
Will wrapping my car damage my paint?
If the vehicle has original/factory paint, vinyl wrapping should not damage your paint. It will protect your existing paint colour and condition of your paintwork. A vehicle that has had repairs or aftermarket paint may have problems as the paint may not have cured or properly bonded to the bodywork.
Do I need to notify DVLA about a vehicle wrap?
As with insurance companies, the DVLA also needs to be informed. However, this is usually a very quick process that involves the completion of a V5C form.
How long will it take to tint my car?
To tint the front two doors can take between 30-45 mins. A coupe or sedan can be completed in roughly an hour and a half. SUV’s, Vans and speciality vehicles can take longer.
Is there a guarantee with the window film?
Most companies give 10 years guarantee. Here at London Tint Studio we cover all of our installations with a lifetime warranty. In the unlikely event your film peels or bubble, just contact us for a replacement.
How dark can I go on the front windows?
No tint on the front windows is legal as all cars from factory come with a 70% to 75% tint already, so any tint on the front windows will break the legal limit.
What are the benefits of having Paint Protection Film?
The main purpose of paint protection film is to protect your car against scuffs, scratches, stone chips and other elements.
How long will paint protection film last?
After an installation of paint protection film you can expect your car to look amazing for years to come. We work with the leading suppliers of PPF who warranty the film for up to 10 years.
